Nikon executive officer Kimito Uemura told NHK World Japan (Video above) that they will bring new Nikon mirrorless cameras to market before Spring of 2019.
According to recently report from Sankeibiz from Japan, Nikon is currently developing their upcoming Nikon full frame mirrorless camera in rapid pace, and will be released before March, 2019 (Nikon’s fiscal year will end in March 2019). And the announcement of Nikon full frame mirrorless camera could be around Photokina 2018 in September.

Both Nikon and Canon are planning to release their full frame mirrorless cameras within next 12 months. According to our source, currently, there are prototypes of Nikon full frame mirrorless camera in testing by selected photographers.
In October 2017, Nikon filed a patent for a new mirrorless camera mount. This mirrorless mount has 12 electronic contacts, same as Nikon 1 mirrorless cameras. In the past, there is rumors that Nikon full frame mirrorless cameras will have a new mount called Z-mount, so is this patent is for the upcoming Z-mount ? Stay tuned for more info.
Japanese website Nikkei recently posted an article about upcoming Nikon full frame mirrorless camera. They bet Nikon will announce their first full frame mirrorless cameras in the second half of 2018, around Photokina in September. And release date is in early 2019.
